Broncos 38, Raiders 24: Your Thoughts … in Six Words or Less

OAKLAND, Calif. –Maybe the Broncos’ 38-24 win Sunday over the Raiders wasn’t a big deal.  It was fueled by an unorthodox game plan and wasn’t over a great team — or even a team that left the game with a winning record, something it has failed to achieve in eight consecutive seasons.

Poppycock.

You beat your arch-rivals, it’s a big deal.  You keep them from taking first place for themselves while simultaneously leaping back into the division race, so much the better.

For the Broncos, it was a sweet win after two and a half seasons where so much has been sour, and that makes it worth savoring and celebrating.

Based on your tweets, you agreed.

Without further ado, your thoughts … in six words or less:

Need a copy of halftime speech.

That’s how you bounce back.

IceHensley
Came up big when it counted.

bertjanb
So this is how winning feels…

MASON: By that sentiment, you’d think the Broncos hadn’t beaten anybody in months rather than two weeks.

This team fights, starts with Tebow.

patrickdorey81
Prepare for adjustments to zone read.

MASON: I’ll also note that Patrick added an elongated “woo-hoo,” but the reality check still stands, and is valid with a pair of 3-4 defenses up next.

McSmashie
Better but need to remain patient.

scottnash80
Can’t tweet now; Clady’s holding me.

piggphat
Broncos are back…almost.
